"DEAR DR. WIESENTHAL . . . A LETTER ASKING WHY?"

Dear Dr. Wiesenthal:

Though I am writing to you personally, what I'm saying here could be considered a reflection of the thoughts, feelings and concerns of many people -- people who are part of a group that has been through a rough time these last ten years. I do not presume to speak for the Serbs, but being in close contact with them, especially these last several very difficult years for the Serbian people, I am aware of some of what's been on their minds and in their hearts. With this letter, I sincerely hope that you can help me understand something that has been troubling me very much for a long time now.

I am contacting and addressing you personally about this sensitive issue because I have a great respect for the work you have done over the last 50 years. You have sought justice for your people with a single-mindedness of purpose. Though you are a famous man whose name is known, you have maintained your dedication without fanfare all these years, and your efforts have resulted in bringing criminals to justice. I will always admire you for these things. I hope you will take my concerns to heart and understand where they are coming from and what is compelling me to confront what I know is inherently a controversial and touchy issue. Please keep in mind that we share a common desire to see justice done and that my feelings come more out of pain than they do out of anger.

Dr. Wiesenthal,

I am very troubled by the events that have taken place in the former Yugoslavia over the last ten years and how the Serbian people have been effected by those events. I need you to help me understand something. What especially concerns me is the active role that a number of prominent American Jews in positions of great power have played in how those events have unfolded. There is no easy or polite way to say this, I'm afraid. Given the nature of the reality, the fact is that if I were to write a history of the Serbs in the last decade of the 20th Century, I would have to include the role these prominent Jews have played in trying to destroy the Serbian nation and demonizing an entire people. I don't use the term 'genocide' lightly, but here, what we are talking about, is a genocidal destruction by political means, and Jews were the last people on earth the Serbs would have expected to be guilty of committing this crime against them. What I need you to help me understand is WHY this has happened.

I think you know Serbian history well. From way back, you knew and understood the nature and character of the enemies the Serbs have been confronted with. The Nazis. The Croatians. You have spoken about it and written about it with integrity. You have recognized, when others did not or would not, that Serbs and Jews have shared a common fate, common enemies, and a shared need to see justice done. That is why I'm coming to you. So you can help me understand why, over the course of these last several years when the Serbs needed jewish understanding and support the most, what they have been confronted with instead is Betrayal.

Have the Serbs committed atrocities over the course of the wars that have ravaged Yugoslavia the last decade of the 20th Century? I cannot deny that. Have they been guilty of war crimes for which they must be tried and punished? Yes, I am sad to say, some have and they must be. Every nation has its My Lai and every army has its U.S. Staff Sgt. Frank J. Ronghi. Was a man like Arkan, who was considered a patriot and true warrior by some, little more than a war criminal and gangster? One can argue both ways, but there was a time when Arkan worked for Tito as a right hand man and was assassinating Serbs, his own people, whom Tito considered potential enemies. The West wasn't concerned with his actions at that time, because Tito was their favorite communist. In his wake, were there others like the ruthless Arkan, though less flamboyant, in the Serbian military units? Probably, and if so, they must be brought to a fair trial and punished accordingly if guilty. There is no question of that. That is not what is bothering me.

Have national leaders, politicians, military officers and personnel, authors, writers, and advisors who are not Jewish been adamant about "punishing" the Serbs for all their alleged crimes in the former Yugoslavia? Yes. The problem is -- what concerns me is -- the disproportionate role that Jews in these persuasive and powerful positions have played in impugning the Serbs without any consideration of justice, or for that matter, truth. Undeclared war has been waged against the Serbs for a long time now and leading the campaign it seems to me, have been powerful and influential Jews who seem to have an uncontrollable hatred for a group of people who have never meant nor done them any harm. That is what I am trying to come to terms with, Dr. Wiesenthal.

I don't have to explain to you what the true and real essence of Genocide is. But I think I do need to explain why I believe that the people I'm singling out, have, and continue to support, what can only be deemed as genocidal in character and outcome.

For others who might have the chance to read this, I will outline briefly the official definition of Genocide as designated by the Genocide Convention:

Article II: STATES THAT GENOCIDE MEANS ANY OF THE FOLLOWING ACTS COMMITTED WITH THE INTENT TO DESTROY, IN WHOLE OR IN PART, A NATIONAL, ETHNICAL, RACIAL, OR RELIGIOUS GROUP, SUCH AS:

A: Killing the members of the group;

B: Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of that group;

C: Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part.

Although the most recent bombing of Serbia is probably the most blatant example of an attack that would satisfy these conditions, more than bombs have been involved in the campaign to demonize and punish the Serbs. Still, the bombing campaign is a definitive example. There is a prima facie document, and Amnesty International publicly declared so as well in June of this year, that civilian targets were deliberately included after the initial bombings in March failed to elicit Milosevic's signature on the main text and Appendix B of the Rambouillet Accord. Therefore, the bombing of Serbia satisfied all conditions of the listed parts of Article II, because there was no clash of armies involved. To bring charges of genocide, prosecutors have to prove the intention to destroy a people or part of a people, and that is what the NATO attack on Serbia was. But there is so much more than the bombing. The campaign has been all pervasive and has hit at the Serbian people from every which way possible.

Dr. Wiesenthal,

Right after WWII ended, only 22 out of a list of 900 German war criminals were brought before the International Court at Nuremberg. These were the center-stage criminals. But what about the others, many of which you sought and hunted down and brought to justice, because Nuremberg was not conclusive. Well, to me, the people I will be naming here are as guilty, or even more so, of war crimes than the individuals who have thus far been brought before the Hague. These are people I feel deserve to be on trial, and unfortunately, they are Jews. I wish with all my heart that it were not so.

These are the individuals to whom I am referring, and their concentrated attacks on the Serbs, regardless of what form they have taken, makes it appear as though destruction of the Serbian nation and the will and spirit of the Serbian people is part of a specific, deliberate and calculated agenda, regardless of the facts or the truth.

The following will explain the issues which I feel illustrate the context in which the crimes have been committed as well as the nature of the crimes themselves and why I hold this group of people responsible for crimes against humanity. I hope you will understand where I am coming from and that you will appreciate my hope of coming to some kind of resolution with your help.

THE ALBANIAN ISSUE IN KOSOVO

 

Dr. Wiesenthal:

I believe that you know history better than the politicians do. This letter isn't meant to be a history lesson, but I feel it necessary to include some points to put my concerns in context. Although my concerns go back to when war broke out in Croatia and Bosnia at the beginning of the 1990's, for the purpose of this letter, I will focus on the present and on Kosovo. There are many common denominators, however, so my concerns apply to all.

Please bear with me if you already know these things...

Who are these "Kosovars" that have engendered such sympathy and such a call to action by the world community and its leaders on their behalf? In my view, this is who they are:

What the Albanians have been attempting to complete these last several years in Kosovo, with the full support of NATO and prominent American Jews, is a fascist program that Mussolini began in 1941 during World War II but that in essence was initiated years earlier.

On November 27, 1918 the United States State Department was informed by Thomas Page, U.S. Ambassador to Italy 1913-1919, that the British Foreign Office favored the creation of a "Greater Albania" to block Serbian advances to the Adriatic. Years later, Mussolini had the same idea. On June 25, 1941 Mussolini proclaimed the annexation of Kosovo, the cradle of the Serbian nation, to Albania. The first concern of the Albanians, led by their notables, tribal chiefs, and the so-called "Kosovo Committee" was to get rid of the Serbs and Montenegrins in their midst. Serbs were promptly murdered or expelled, and their property was looted.

Before World War II, Serbs comprised 50 percent of the population of Kosovo. By the end of the war, they had been reduced to 25 percent of the population. Still later, as of 1989, they were reduced yet further, to only 10 percent of the population of Kosovo, however a reputable census has not been taken in recent years.

Although Mussolini and his fascist allies lost the war, communist Tito who came to power in Yugoslavia would not allow Serbs to return to their homes and homeland in Kosovo which had always been an integral part of Serbia. He would maintain Kosovo within Yugoslavia, nevertheless, would stifle further expulsions, and would, with his iron fist, keep secession a moot point.

Serbs made one big mistake in regards to Kosovo. In 1945 the Provisional National Assembly of Serbia passed a law establishing the autonomous Kosovo-Metohija region known as Kosmet. Kosovo became an "autonomous province" of Serbia. This act was, in fact, the constitutional instrument of Kosovo and Metohija, and from the very outset it guaranteed the equal rights of all citizens without distinction as to nationality, race, religion, or sex, and the equality of the language of all the national groups within the region before the authorities. Similarly, the right to education in their mother tongue was also granted to all national minorities. It was in 1974, with the revision of the Yugoslav Constitution, that the autonomous regions (Vojvodina and Kosovo and Metohija) were endowed with many of the sovereign prerogatives of statehood.

It is then that the Albanian terrorists and drug traffickers, with the support of some local ethnic Albanians in Kosovo, began planning the establishment of a second Albania in the Balkans. They began paralyzing work and progress in the Republic of Serbia, of which Kosovo and Metohija were still a part. The constitution of the Republic of Serbia could not be changed without the express consent of the Assembly of the Socialist Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohija where Albanians had become a majority due to the cleansing of Serbs and Tito's policy of not allowing the expelled Serbs to return to their homes.

Dr. Wiesenthal:

Ethnic Albanians in Kosovo had all the human and civil rights due them, as they should have expected, before the intrusion of the Albanian terrorists and drug dealers who would organize the Kosovo Liberation Army, the notorious KLA. Just prior to the war, the University of Pristina in Kosovo had 37,000 students enrolled in it, eighty percent of whom were ethnic Albanians. The Pristina Radio and Television Station was broadcasting their programs in the Albanian language all day. There was one Albanian Daily and eleven periodicals. Just prior to the most recent war the government of Yugoslavia was providing enormous subsidies to the province of Kosovo.

The mistake made by the Serbs was setting up a party-run state instead of a constitutional government with an effective sovereignty of the Republic of Serbia over its entire territory that would not abridge the autonomy of Kosovo and Metohija. This was all done under the assumption that all the people of Kosovo and Metohija would remain loyal citizens of the Republic of Serbia. Mind you, the issue here is not the communist regime of Yugoslavia, because that is outside the scope of this letter. I will say that it is ironic that one of the loudest voices condemning the Serbian government as communist is that of Tony Blair, the British Prime Minister, whose country was led by those who, with their antediluvian brains, were responsible for delivering Yugoslavia to the communists and people like Milosevic.

If I were a Jew, Dr. Wiesenthal, I would be very careful about alliances with Tony Blair of Great Britain or with the British government. When there were virtually no Jews in England at all between the 12th and 17th Century, anti-Semitism was even stronger there than in Germany. Later, during WWII, when Palestine was still a British colony, the British did not allow the Jews of Europe to enter Palestine for refuge from the Nazis. These Jews would end up, instead, at Auschwitz.

If the educated group of politically powerful Jews who have been so instrumental in fashioning policy towards the Serbs had taken one serious, honest look at the real status of the Albanian and other minorities in the Republic of Serbia, they would have discovered that as individual ethnic groups they enjoyed national, cultural, and civil rights on par with the most modern and best constitutional systems in the world.

Article 27 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights states that persons belonging to ethnic, religious, or linguistic minorities shall not be denied the right in a community with the other members of their group, to enjoy their own culture, to profess and practice their own religion, or to use their own language. The ethnic Albanians in Kosovo had all of this guaranteed them and more. There is no covenant anywhere in the world that calls for a minority in a state to have its own TERRITORIAL political autonomy.

With all that would transpire between the years of 1980 following Tito's death and 1988, it was discovered by the government in Belgrade that it was necessary to start a process of bringing the autonomy enjoyed by Kosovo and Vojvodina in line with territorial autonomy as understood by the civilized world, in legal, political, and constitutional theory. The government of Belgrade was doing what any civilized nation and leadership, including the United States, would do if one of their territorial areas was becoming too independent and terrorism was being used as a means of gaining that independence.

Due to the nature of the trouble, in 1989 Milosevic and the Belgrade government took back the autonomy of Kosovo. If one examines the events of the decade prior to this, it was the only thing that could have been done to maintain order in Kosovo.

It was in 1981, after several years of preparations and after obtaining various arms and whatever else was necessary for conducting terrorism in Kosovo, that the Albanian separatists began their armed attacks on the local authorities loyal to the Serbian government in Belgrade with simultaneous attacks on the civilian population to drive non-Albanians out of Kosovo. Between 1981 and 1988 there were recorded: 500 assaults on military personnel, 80 cases of harassment of military units, and 251 attacks on military facilities. What went unrecorded and the civilian casualties incurred can only be imagined. Atrocities were committed in Kosovo as these events unfolded.

The Serbian government was given no choice but to crack down as any government that I know of in the civilized world would have. Still, this did not stop the Albanian terrorists.

Dr. Wiesenthal:

Every civilized country in the world is trying to limit the kinds of arms its citizens carry around. In many cases, the owner must register the gun he possesses. Yet, in Kosovo, still an integral part of Serbia, some Albanians were in possession of all sorts of guns and arms, including machine guns, explosives, detonators, and even pieces of artillery, just prior to the Kosovo war of 1998. Do you know of any country in the world, Mr. Wiesenthal, that would not send its police force to bring the situation under some kind of civilized control to protect its citizens. Well, the situation unfortunately only got worse, not better.

What the Serbs were faced with in their own backyard would require a separate letter alone to describe. Let me suffice by saying this:

Albanians have destroyed more Serbian Orthodox Churches and historical monuments in Kosovo in the last five years than the Turks did in their 500 years of domination in the Balkans. I am sure you still feel pain for all the synagogues destroyed in the relativelly short 12 year Nazi domination in Europe. And I am sure you are well aware of the Albanian affiliations with the fascists and the Nazis. For these reasons alone it is hard to understand why any Jew would support the Albanian cause.

Another unconscionable Albanian crime was setting fire to the Pristina City Library. This library held tens of thousands of Serbian books collected over a long period of time. They have burned and thrown into the garbage books of Serbian origin throughout Kosovo. And they have terrorized civilians mercilessly, killing at will. For the Serbs, this has been an ongoing Kristalnacht. What really has changed in civilized Europe over the course of the last 62 years since that night? What I cannot get over, Mr. Wiesenthal, is that some Jews are now virtually supporting what they themselves were tragic victims of not so many years ago. And NATO is supporting this Kristalnacht against the Serbs, with the full blessing of Jews who have the power to stop it.

Bulgarian reporter Stephan Tashev visited Pristina recently and afterward wrote that while there he was most concerned about keeping his mouth shut. He didn't want to utter a word in his native Bulgarian out of fear that the Albanians would mistake him for a Serb and kill him. I am sure that you remember the German Foreign Minister in 1922, Walther Rathenau, who though a Jew, fully supported the German war effort during World War One as few Germans themselves even did and worked hard after the war to bring Germany back to life. He even went so far as to support the armed Freikorps troops by collecting over 5 million dollars in voluntary contributions to build them up. These same troops would kill him anyway, for no other reason but that he was a Jew.

Back then, it was for being Jewish in Germany and later in all of occupied Europe. Now, it is for being Serbian in Serbia's own Kosovo. Dr. Wiesenthal, why would any educated Jew support the Albanians, who have historically been supporters of the Nazis and whose majority subscribe to the Islamic faith, in what they are doing to the Serbs who have always been friends of the Jews of Europe. They are, de facto, supporting the Albanian terrorists doing to the Serbs exactly what was done by the Nazis to the Jews, only by different methods...

Mr. Richard Cohen, an American journalist who is also a Jew, and who has never had a good word to say or write about the Serbs, wrote not too long ago about justice in reference to looted gold that had been laundered for the Nazis by the Swiss:

"It may seem at times that this doubling back through history is silly. The past is past, let it go. But there is justice to be done."

This statement is fully supported by Secretary of State Madeleine Albright who insists that there is no statute of limitations on war crimes. But policy makers such as Albright, and reporters such as Cohen, conveniently ignore some things in the past when it comes to holding people accountable for war crimes and unjust, ethically reprehensible behavior...

Doesn't it matter to the Albrights and Cohens and Liebermans that when the first SS troops were formed, only those that could prove they were pure Aryans could be members of the elite SS. Then, later, 'second grade' SS troops were formed consisting of people who did not have to prove that they were pure Aryans. Finally, in 1943, Himmler decided to form 'third grade' SS troops. That is when three new divisions of SS formations were created: "KAMA", "HANDZAR", and "SKENDERBERG", the first two being composed of Bosnian moslems and the third of Albanian moslems, including Albanians from Kosovo.

These Nazi divisions were not sent to any front to fight, but instead were sent to the Serbian villages in Bosnia, Hercegovina, and Kosovo, where they gleefully committed indescribable atrocities against the Serbian population. When the war was over and the Western Allies turned Yugoslavia over to communist control under Tito, all these moslem Nazis and criminals became Yugoslav communists and none of them were brought before an international court for war crimes and crimes against humanity.

To add to this travesty, we have the pronouncements of Dr. Bernard Kouchner, who, in regard to the current situation in Kosovo where Albanians are continuing to wreak havoc against the innocent Serbian civilian population, maintains that while before it was ethnic cleansing being committed by the Serbs against the Albanians, now what is happening to the Serbs being terrorized by the Albanians is a sort of "justifiable revenge."

It makes me sick to my stomach, Dr. Wiesenthal. The hypocrisy and double standard being so flagrantly practiced by these Jews in positions of power, in relation to the situation in the former Yugoslavia, is reprehensible.

Although I will be focusing most heavily on American Jews in powerful and influential positions, American Jews by no means are the only ones that have caused me to raise this issue. Much has been made in recent years about the friendship between Serbs and Russians, yet serious students of history would quickly establish that some of the actions or "inactions" that the Russians have taken over the years with regards to their "brother Serbs" have been nearly fatal for the Serbian people. A primary example of the accountability of the Russian leadership with regards to the Serbs is the advocacy of former Russian Foreign Minister Andrei Kozyrev, who, during the war in Bosnia, sided with the "pro-bombing faction" in the United States. Mr. Kozyrev was the only Russian deeply involved with the Bosnian war, and he was a Jew.

It seems to me like a lot of double talk and double standards, and no civilization. Due to Albanian manipulations, sanctioned by the powerful, political elite in this country and heavily underwritten by those who have a vested interest in this little area in the Balkans such as financier George Soros, and the clearly calculated reactions of NATO, there has been war in Kosovo, and though the war is over, the consequences continue.

The bombing was not the only big, big crime committed. Criminal accountability lays on those who have actively and clandestinely supported the Albanian criminals under the guise of humanitarianism. Those who have supported the KLA.

THE KLA

 

Dr. Wiesenthal:

Just who are the freedom fighters that the United States and NATO nations have been "supporting" and glorifying in Kosovo? The Kosovo Liberation Army is the armed wing of the Kosovo National Front, a primary agitating force behind independence for Kosovo. That is not their only agenda, however.

The Kosovo National Front is one of the most powerful heroin smuggling organizations in the world and they, throughout their fight with the Serbs over Kosovo, have been diverting the dirty profits from their dirty trade to the KLA "liberators" to buy weapons for the express purpose of killing. Not freedom fighting. But killing.

The United States State Department officially red-flagged the KLA in 1998. It was listed as an international terrorist organization. The two primary charges against the organization were that it had bankrolled its operations with money made from the international heroin trade and from loans given by notorious terrorists like Osama bin Laden. A year later, in 1999 when Kosovo exploded on the world stage as a focus of international attention, nothing had changed insofar as the true nature of the KLA. Only then, due to "politics," instead of being called the terrorists that they were, they were being called "freedom fighters."

Dirty money from dirty drug sales on a vast scale have financed the weapons used against the Serbs and the Serbian civilians, Mr. Wiesenthal. Is that honorable freedom fighting? Is that what Senator Lieberman wanted to further augment and subsidize after the bombing of Serbia began, because he felt that more weapons in the hands of the criminal KLA was what was needed to compliment the bombs being dropped on the Serbian people?

That same month that the bombing began, in March of 1999, it was estimated by "Jane's Intelligence Review" that drug sales alone could have netted the KLA profits in the high tens of millions of dollars. At that same time, this highly regarded British based journal noted that the KLA had rearmed itself for a Spring offensive against the Serbs with drug money, along with donations from Albanians in Western Europe and the United States.

Leading intelligence officials have also confirmed that the KLA has financed its purchase of weapons in great part with profits earned from drug smuggling, the cash being laundered through banks in Italy, Germany, and the ever accomodating Swiss banks. The KLA, according to these same intelligence reports that our politicians seem not to be bothered by, have paid for the weapons using the heroin itself as currency. These issues were all present as far back as the Spring of 1999, at the same time that Senator Lieberman was pushing his Kosovo Self-Defense Bill that would give the green light to further arming the KLA, which had become one of his favorite humanitarian causes.

Senator Lieberman's involvement did not begin with the Kosovo Self-Defense Act of 1999. As far back as 1994, the Senator received $10,000 from an Albanian-American PAC and was one of the most vocal proponents of "bombing Serbia," before NATO bombs were ever launched. His pronouncements would soon be echoed by Madeleine Albright who would become just as passionate in her desire to see the Serbs bombed. Both Lieberman and Albright, as you know, are Jews. But Senator Lieberman, with co-sponsoring the "Kosovo Self-Defense Act" that he pushed for immediately after the bombing began in March of 1999, went even further that promoting bombing. This bill was to provide $25 million dollars of the American tax payers money to equip 10,000 KLA fighters with arms and anti-tank weapons.

Dr. Wiesenthal,

The KLA has been ruthless and brutal in its conduct throughout the Kosovo conflict. The KLA does not operate under rules of civility or ethical and humane conduct in war. It does not follow rules. The KLA has used its terrorist tactics not only against the innocent Serbian civilian population of Kosovo but against its own Albanian people who did not comply with the KLA program and who were perfectly satisfied to stay living with the Serbs in harmony.

This is the group of people that Senator Lieberman who postures daily as a "moral, ethical, and righteous" politician, proud of the Jewish heritage that infused him with those qualities, wants to arm. This is the group that Senator Lieberman, who postures daily on the evils of "violence" in the media, wants to arm with even more weapons than their heroin trade has garnered them. Weapons that kill. These are the criminals he considers "heroic defenders" against the Serbs... This is the man who may rise to even greater heights of influence and power than he has already enjoyed.

Perhaps what Harry Summers, Jr., a fellow of the Army War College, had to say shortly after the bombing began best reflects the irony of United States support, and in my mind, Jewish support, for the KLA and for the Albanian cause in Kosovo. He called the NATO attacks on the Serbs "the hubris of its leadership and the ineptitude of its foreign policy." He wrote:

"The United States -- once the champion of internal stability and the sanctity of national sovereignty - has replaced the Soviet Comintern as the prime fomenter of international dissent and inciter of revolution... Not only by its actions in Bosnia did the U.S. encourage the KLA to revolt, but it also condemned Serb leader Slobodan Milosevic when he attempted to maintain order in his own country. In a bizarre twist to its foreign policy, the U.S. now tacitly supports the KLA guerrillas who are aided and abetted by America's arch enemy Osama bin Laden, who masterminded the African Embassy bombings last August...

Not only is America working against its own best interests by fostering a muslim terrorist base in Europe, it is defeating the very purpose of its Balkan intervention. Ostensibly designed to promote stability in the region, U.S. foreign policy is doing precisely the opposite by its support of the muslim revolution..."

Dr. Wiesenthal,

If I were a Jew judging this situation in the Balkans, I would never forget that in 1937, Reinhard Heydrich sent two of his associates - Adolph Eichmann and Herbert Hagen to Palestine to see the Grand Mufti Haj Amin al-Husseini of Jerusalem. He calculated that there were 300 million moslems in the Middle East and Africa, and because they hated the British, they could be used to German advantage.

The Grand Mufti would meet with Hitler himself, on friendly terms. A lasting friendship was established between the Nazis and the Grand Mufti and in 1941 he was promoted by Hitler to the rank of Field Marshall. Two years later in 1943, after meeting Himmler himself, the Grand Mufti was invited to Sarajevo to talk to the moslems of Bosnia, Hercegovina and Albania. The result was the formation of the three moslem Nazi divisions I mentioned before: "Handzar", "Kama", and "Skenderberg". The horrible things that these moslem Nazi units did to the Orthodox Serbs in Yugoslavia is beyond the scope of this letter, but what is not beyond the scope is the question that every Jew should ask himself:

If the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem called on the Bosnian and Albanian moslems to go to war against Israel tomorrow, would they go?

Dr. Wiesenthal,

I believe that they would, and would do so enthusiastically, just as they joined the SS troops 57 years ago in Yugoslavia. I think it's therefore proper to ask if Senator Lieberman would then be so inclined to help the Bosnian and Albanian moslems in their cause...

Nothing can be more indicative of support for a muslim revolution in the Balkans than the support given by the U.S. to the Bosnian moslems under the guise of "humanitarianism." Alija Izetbegovic was their leader in the 1990's and prominent American Jews in positions of power and influence were empathizing with him and his people. They were supporting the cause of the very same man who publicly wrote the following for the record:

"There can be no peace or co-existence between Islamic and non-Islamic institutions...The Islamic movement must and can take power as soon as it is morally and numerically strong enough, not only to destroy the non-Islamic power, but to build up a new Islamic one."

Izetbegovic, leader of the Bosnian moslems, was, therefore no less honest than Adolf Hitler in his intentions. Yet, by twist of fate, he and his people became the designated victim. How can the Jews in power ever have allowed themselves to play right into his hand?

 

Dr. Wiesenthal,

How is it that the Jews in power in this country cannot see what they are doing and have done by supporting the Albanian cause with such determination? Or, do they see? And this is what they want? Then, if that is so, what are their brothers fighting for over in Israel and will they, down the line, be victims of the same treatment...?

And though the war has ended, the terrorism continues, with the KLA now called the Kosovo Protection Corps (the KPC) and operating under the guise of the United Nations umbrella.

War in former Yugoslavia has taken on many forms, and the weapons used have not been just machine guns. There is a more pervasive weapon, one that reaches much farther than the bullet. And that weapon is "The Lie."

PROPAGANDA AND LIES

 

Dr. Wiesenthal,

One of the most damaging examples of the power of lies and propaganda was a simple, single document that served as the pretext and rationale for anti-Semitism in the early 20th Century. As you know, I'm sure, this document, PROTOCOLS OF THE ELDERS OF ZION, outlined Jewish plans to overthrow Christianity through subversion and sabotage in order for Jews to control the world. This document "reported" the alleged proceedings of a conference of Jews in the late 19th century. The "Protocols" were first published in 1905 in Russia and became the classic defense and justification for anti-Semitism. In the United States, Henry Ford's private newspaper, the "Dearborn Independent" often cited them as evidence of a world Jewish threat. Further investigation showed THE PROTOCOLS to be a fraud but not before the growing fascist movement in the 1920's and 30's had used them as a banner for their platform and justification for the coming Genocide.

Propaganda and lies, especially when the prominent and powerful engage in using them to justify affecting human lives, are a terrible thing. 20th Century politics in regards to Europe have been dominated by lies from beginning to end, and the consequences have been devastating for millions upon millions of people.

In the first half of the 20th Century, Dr. Wiesenthal, I would say that your people, the Jews, were the biggest victims of propaganda campaigns. In the second half, given the events of just the last 10 years, I feel that the Serbs have been the biggest victims of the war of lies, propaganda, and fraud. Lies, when acted upon, usually have devastating consequences for the victim being lied about. But they can have other consequences as well. Lies can lead to "inaction" when action is most needed. What is known as the "Cry Wolf" syndrome. Subsequent genuine warnings about future dangers can often go ignored by virtue of too many frauds having been perpetrated and exposed, and no people can afford to have that happen.

Let's look at this phenomenon first:

In 1914 the British used their sophisticated propaganda machine to present the Germans to the world as animals committing unbelievable atrocities in Belgium. But the world soon learned that the accusations were lies, because Germany was not a small and helpless nation that was unable to fight back against the lies. The "Bruce Report" was issued after WWI and exposed that what the British had been accusing the Germans of doing in Belgium was a fabrication.

Perhaps due to the revelation about the extent of the lies being propagated by the British that when the news broke in the United States in 1942 about a million Jews being slaughtered by the Germans in Europe up to that time, the eminent U.S. paper, The New York Times, though Jewish owned, buried that information on the fourth page of the paper.

The news had come by way of Great Britain, and news from Great Britain had been tainted by the previous fraud. Unfortunately, however, this time, the news proved to be true but was virtually ignored.

The Soviets did not believe the British either, due to previous frauds perpetrated. They received numerous pieces of information advising about Hitler's preparation for an attack on their country, well in advance of the planned attack. But the Soviets did not believe the reports, because of the source, and they kept their well-trained and well-equipped 30 divisions in the Far East rather than bringing them west to confront the Nazis directly. It is possible that had the Soviets taken the British reports seriously and diverted their forces to the Soviet western border on June 22, 1941, the Second World War could have ended then and there. The implications of ignoring genuine, valid reports due to dismissing the source can be devastating, as history has proven.

That is one way in which lies subvert. Another way is more direct. Outright lies and fabrications and slander, when used deliberately and systematically for the purpose of furthering an agenda, can result in the greatest crimes of all being perpetrated. Jews knew it then. Serbs know that now.

Sometime ago, Dr. Wiesenthal, the SIF paper of the Swedish Office Worker's Union was publishing lengthy articles about the "Serbian Biological-Racial Evil. As you know, the Swedes put up a front of neutrality during World War II but clandestinely supported the Nazi war effort to the maximum possible and became a very rich country because of it. These Swedish "writings" about the Serbs could be easy to dismiss as "nonsense" and almost comical hyperbole -- you know, propaganada of an almost cartoonish nature -- were it not for the previous precedents of propaganda used to devastating effect against the Jews. Remember Eberhard Taubert, Goebbels' man, who made the film that portrayed Jews as rats descending into a sewer? Well, this time around, it's the Serbs who have been portrayed as the rats, and the pigs, and the thugs, and Satan incarnate...

And why has there been no outcry against this blatant slander and racism...

Dr. Wiesenthal,

I don't have to tell you that writings such as the Swedish writings I mentioned slandering the Serbs are often the prelude to genocide -- justified genocide on account of reducing the victim to less than human. Writings have been a powerful weapon of war, and this makes me wonder if speech and writing, when clearly inciting or promoting genocidal action, should be immune from the war crime process. How many of our journalists, among them prominent Jewish members of the media elite, would be liable, then, to stand trial today.

Take the writings of Stewart Chamberlain, a Germanized, British born philosopher, who inspired Hitler with his writings. It was his writings that gave meaning to the term "Aryan." His writings dictated the superiority of the white German "race" over the Jewish "race." He insisted that God was embodied in the Germans and the devil in the Jews.

Is there any real difference between what Chamberlain, idol of Hitler, was promoting back then against the Jews and what so much of the modern, civilized mainstream media have been promoting against the Serbs these last several years?

The media has been criminal in its treatment of the Serbs. Journalists, with the exception of the honorable and decent few like David Binder and those like him who have had the courage to tell the truth regardless of the cost and backlash, have gotten away with slander and libel directed against the Serbs that never, in a thousand years, would have been tolerated against any other group of people. And so many of the worst offenders in the media have been Jewish journalists and organizations.

Although both Jews and non-Jews have leveled vicious attacks on the Serbs in the papers and on television, few have been as vicious as Anthony Lewis of The New York Times. He happens to be a Jew.

How can it be ignored that William Kristol, editor of The Weekly Standard Magazine, "a comprehensive weekly journal of politics and opinions with diverse commentary on the cultural and social issues shaping the future of the country," is reported to have said that "Serbian skulls should be crushed."

Remember how when Dr. Karl Lueger, the Mayor of Vienna, who organized the Nazi Party, suggested that the Jewish question should be solved by 'baptizing all Jews by immersing them under water for five minutes.' Ante Starcevic, a genocidal Croat who lived during the mid 19th century, was even more vehement about his feelings. He publicly espoused that the Serbian question in the Balkans should be solved by "taking the Serbs to the slaughterhouse."

How can a Jew such as Kristol, reportedly advocate death by such gruesome means as "crushing skulls" today, in this enlightened day and age?

Demonizing is an essence of the lie process. No group has been more blatantly and systematically demonized at the end of the 20th century than the Serbs, and it is the Jews I am confronting here who should have empathized with these Serbs the most, being sophisticated and educated enough to fully understand the process. Instead, not only did they buy into it, accepting it and repeating lies as "fact," but they have been active participants in the demonization process.

Lies have been used against the Serbs for political purposes on such a grand scale that one has to wonder if everything was blueprinted before the very first shot was ever fired in the Balkans or the first atrocity committed.

Dr. Wiesenthal,

Numbers have been used over and over again to distort the truth of what has been happening in Yugoslavia. Casualties have been exaggerated by the tens of thousands, sometimes the hundreds of thousands. This has happened over and over again. Numbers were used to justify bombing. Massacres, such as the three separate "Breadline" events in Bosnia, have been orchestrated, the last one justifying the first of the bombings back in 1995. And Srebrenica. This hoax has been Richard Holbrooke's mantra of "Never Again."

Phillip Knightley, author of "The First Casualty" tells us that the policy of Pentagon spinmasters is:

"Nullify rather than conceal undesirable news, control the emphasis rather than the facts, balance bad news with good news and lie directly only when you are certain the lie won't be found out during the course of the war."

Well, it has been an entire cabal of spinmasters far and wide of the Pentagon who have been perpetrating the crime of The Big Lie against the Serbs now in Kosovo, as before in Bosnia. These lies, little by very little, are finally coming to light. Slowly... but the truth is seeping through the cracks, because the evidence confirming the lies has proven to be little more than dubious if existent at all.

Dr. Wiesenthal,

In November of 1998 the Yugoslav government allowed 2000 OSCE (Organization for Security and Co-Operation in Europe) observers to enter Kosovo. This was a non-Serb group, sanctioned by the world watchdog community, an "objective" party especially charged with the duty of observing and reporting back its findings of what was going on on the ground in Kosovo. What was really going on. The Belgrade government allowed them complete freedom to do their job. 2000 observers could have come in, but the OSCE contingent never exceeded 1400, however. To my knowledge, their report has never been published nor have their findings been publicized. It is almost as if the mission never existed. So, what was it that they found that necessitated their findings to be supressed?

Right before NATO launched its bombing campaign against the Serbs in March of 1999, the OSCE contigent was removed by the Western Powers. The justification for the immediate bombing was the "discovery" by Western and NATO strategists that the Serbs were planning a major offensive, "Operation Horseshoe," designed to get rid of the Albanians in Kosovo for good. Two weeks after the bombing campaign began the whole justification for the bombing was exposed as an outright fabrication culled from Bulgarian intelligence reports and the hand of NATO military propagandists. There was no "Operation Horseshoe" being planned by the Serbs, yet "Operation Allied Force" and its 78 day and night bombing campaign continued as planned.

Is that why the OSCE contingent was suddenly removed and its report never saw the light of day?

Dr. Wiesenthal,

The Belgrade government had strongly objected to the OSCE contingent being removed. These were not people the Serbs controlled. This was a group the Western powers had sanctioned. Does this sound like the protestations of a regime that had something to hide in Kosovo?

It looks to me like it was the NATO powers that had something to hide. Were they concerned that their agenda would be undermined by the findings of the OSCE as to what was really going on? That the OSCE would report what The New York Times reported as far back as 1982 of there being almost weekly incidents of rape, arson, pillaging, and industrial sabotage committed by the Albanians to drive the Serbs and Montenegrins out of Kosovo? Or, that the OSCE would find what "EXTRA" had written about in 1987:

"That slavic Orthodox churches had been attacked and flags had been torn down, slavic boys had been knifed and young, ethnic Albanian boys had been told by their elders to rape Serbian girls..."

When the Serbs of Kosovo responded to all this and worse that was going on in Kosovo, the cradle of their civilization like Jerusalem is the cradle of the Jewish civilization, the world turned on them. When the Serbs of Kosovo tried to prevent from happening to them at the hands of the Albanian terrorists what had happened to the Jews in the 1940's, NATO sent their bombs against them. Never, Dr. Wiesenthal, have NATO bombs been sent against the Israeli's who are fighting their own battle and never have I heard a single Serb call for bombs to be dropped on the Jews of Israel for their actions in the ongoing war with the Palestinians. Never.

Madeleine Albright, a Jew who spent years in Belgrade as part of Serbian society, said words I'll never forget: "Serbia needs a little bombing." How does she sleep at night, I wonder.

All the Serbs would be grateful to you, Dr. Wiesenthal, if you would call publicly for the publication of the OSCE Report so that the world can learn what was really going on in Kosovo before NATO began it's genocidal attack on Serbia. It is important, for I am confident it will be an antidote for at least some of the pain caused by the grievous lies that have been leveled against the Serbs. And people would listen to you.

First it was the hundreds of thousands...Then the State Department of the United States and Secretary of Defense William Cohen maintained that 100,000 ethnic Albanian men had been killed in Kosovo. Now, the numbers of the victims have been reduced to 3,000 after extensive investigations have failed to corroborate the "evidence," evidence that has proven never to have existed.

In other words, time and time again, the number of victims, the nature of the atrocities, the magnitude of the alleged "ethnic cleansing" and the "genocide" perpetrated by the Serbs has proven to be a hoax. The revelations are coming now, but the damage has been done. My only hope is that there is still some vindication in exposing the truth, for I don't anticipate any apologies or acts of contrition on the part of those most guilty of slandering and attacking the Serbs.

Funny thing. More innocents were forced into exodus out of Kosovo and their homes as a result of the "humanitarian" bombing than had left their homes before the first bombs were dropped to stop the supposed "ethnic cleansing" that was going on... More people were killed by NATO, it turns out, than had been killed by the Serbs...

Actually, it's not funny at all...

Given all of this, one has to wonder who really represents the civilization of the western world and to what extent lies and cover-ups have become the banner of that civilization in its dealings with the people of the world.

This in turn leads us to the farce that is the War Crimes Tribunal. Given everything that I have mentioned, we have to ask ourselves, as Jews and Christians, as people of the world, is this tribunal in The Hague really what we want the legacy of Nuremberg to be?

 

MISUSE OF THE HOLOCAUST FOR POLITICAL PURPOSES

Dr. Wiesenthal,

At a speech at National Defense University, United States President Bill Clinton likened events in Kosovo to those in Nazi Germany, comparing the Serbs to Nazis. Is "Kosovo" what The Holocaust was? Are future generations of people supposed to look to Kosovo, with all of the manipulations and fabrications that have defined events there these past couple of years, for a modern example and definition of what The Holocaust was? Why not, we may ask ourselves. The president of the greatest power on earth, as well as others of high stature and journalists and current "historians" have said that it is so.

Way back in August of 1992, as Bosnia was heating up and the spin doctors were writing the history of the Balkans, famed attorney Alan M. Dershowitz, himself a Jew, wrote a strong editorial putting things into honest perspective. How many people in power paid attention to his wise admoninitions then? He took to task those who were trivializing The Holocaust and who were comparing alleged Serbian actions with those of the Nazis during World War II. He reminded us of events in Croatia and Bosnia that were not attributable to the Serbs but to their enemies that had been designated as the "good guys" and the "victims." He ended his admonition to not compare current events in the Balkans to the horror of World War II with the following:

"But let us not exaggerate the current and potential problems, serious as they are, by repeating false assertions that 'it's worse than Nazi Germany.'"

Mr. Dershowitz also quotes you in the same editorial, Dr. Wiesenthal, by saying this:

"As Simon Wiesenthal, the Nazi hunter and survivor of Mauthausen, put it: 'To call the (Serb) camps concentration camps is a minimization of the Nazi concentration camps, and to compare the camps trivializes Nazi barbarity.'"

Mr. Dershowitz was right in 1992. And his words are just as true today. But Mr. Dershowitz, powerful and influential as he is, is not in the position of power to control policy. Unfortunately. To my knowledge, the prominent Jews that I am concerned about here have not only not shared his disgust at the trivialization of The Holocaust, they have perpetuated it, and if I were a Jew that would be unforgivable to me.

During the war in Bosnia, a very respected man visited a war torn area there. Among the things he saw was a prisoner of war camp where men were standing. He saw the fence, made of barbed wire, that surrounded the camp. But he did not go inside to see for himself. Instead, he announced to the world that there were concentration camps in Bosnia being run by the Serbs. News of this spread all over the world, as he was a respected man. The Serbs would consequently be satanized as never before. This man was Elie Wiesel, and he is a Jew.

Had he gone inside he would have found that this was no concentration camp. There were no crematoriums inside, no gas chambers, no wasted human bodies. Mr. Wiesel demeaned the real concentration camps of which he himself was a victim. How could he of all people have done that? He who should have known better just by virtue of his own real experience years before. Was his observation "an innocent error in judgement" or part of what was becoming more and more clearly a pre-planned orchestration of events designed for one purpose and one purpose only: to demonize the Serbs?

All the code words and images have been used. "Mass Grave," "Atrocity," "Concentration Camp," "Genocide," Gruesome 1945 film images? No. Now these images are the product of a sophisticated propaganda machine that makes Goebbels look like an amateur. This propaganda machine supported and upheld by supposed educated and enlightened people in power, has been used for its own purposes -- to galvanize world opinion against a specified group of people, the Serbs, in order to justify political ends.

Dr. Wiesenthal,

Way back, I asked a friend of mine who was very involved in the "Jewish-Serbian Friendship Society" why the Jews were turning so vehemently against the Serbs who had always been a friend to the Jewish people, even during the worst of times in Europe. She tried to explain that given the "emotionally charged" verbage that was being used, they virtually had no choice but to respond the way that they did and recoil in horror. I think back now to how that made sense to me at the time and that it was a decent rationalization. Now, however, several years later, and many events down the road, I cannot pass off the attitude of the Jews in power as "understandable" given the circumstances. I feel that these Jews, unlike those who have truly tried to educate others as to the magnitude of the lie against the Serbs, and who are fair in their judgements, have been responsible for propagating the lie and directing the genocidal political actions against the Serbian people and their nation. I can no longer "excuse" Jewish complicity. They, of all people, should recognize the power of slander.

Now that many of the assertions of a 'Serbian Genocide' have been proven false and the fabrications are little by little coming to light as the evidence is not bearing out the claims, I have not heard a single note of contrition coming from any of the Jews in power. Why?

Dr. Wiesenthal,

The memory of The Holocaust has been demeaned by those who have dealt with Kosovo. And what irony it is for Jews to accuse the Serbs of "genocide", for no one of all the populations during WWII had a better record of standing by the Jews than the Serbs. You know well that the Jews and Serbs have historically been faced with the same enemies and have fought the same battles. Serbs have given Jews refuge and full citizenship in their country. It had been so throughout Serbian history, continually from the time the Jews first went south to escape the Inquisition in the 15th Century. Shortly before World War II, King Alexander, a Serb and the leader of the Kingdom of the First Yugoslavia who would later be assassinated by pro-fascist elements, did constitutionally for the Jews in Yugoslavia what no other country in the world had ever done. They have been treated as equal citizens and continue to be even to this day. What have the prominent American Jews in power done for the Serbs in return? They have sided with the fascist and Islamist enemy. They have manipulated their own tragedy and used it against the Serbs to justify their actions. And they have sent bombs against their friends.

No one that I know was more angered by the charges of genocide against the Serbs than Major Richard L. Felman, of the United States Air Force, now deceased, who never stopped reminding the world of what the Serbs had done for the Americans in saving their lives in Yugoslavia during World War II. Throughout the decade of conflicts, he would say publicly, with no shame, that "Although I am an American Jew, in my heart, I am a Serb."

What an irony, too, that Serbs have now been punished much the same way by the "democratic powers" as the Germans punished them during World War II. Punitively. Even though many non-Serb sources, including European observers allowed into Kosovo, formally declared that Serbs were concentrating on the terrorist actions of the KLA and not targeting the Albanian civilian population in their battles, the world community continued to make the false accusations of "genocide." We all know now that the real ethnic cleansing of Kosovo began after the 24th of March, 1999, the day the NATO bombs began to fall.

Dr. Wiesenthal,

I would like to share with you the words of Professor Raymond Kent, Emeritus Professor of History at the University of California at Berkeley who expresses what I feel about this issue better than I ever could. Please do not interpret my inclusion of his words in this letter as an endorsement of my opinion. I am including his words, because they make the point that so much needs to be made:

"While genocidal attempts recur, the Holocaust is a unique historical event. To the everlasting credit of its survivors and succeeding generations of Jews, the Holocaust remains a living memory in many parts of the world. There is, nonetheless, an enormous difference between keeping its memory alive as a planned and executed evil as well as an alarm against future genocide attempts on the one hand, and calculated uses of its memory as justification to kill other humans, destroy their infrastructure and poison their soil on the other. This is precisely how the memory of the Holocaust has been used in ways calculated to "ease" the people's of Western Europe and the United States into supporting or at least not actively opposing the U.S./ NATO "intervention" in Yugoslavia.

This 'intervention' (a very antiseptic word) is actually reminiscent of the Nazi punitive expeditions against the Serbs during World War II. It bears the two basic components of Nazi ideology -- 'Might alone makes right' and 'Ends justify the Means.' It has shredded the U.N. Charter. It has mauled International Law that took centuries to develop. It has made a mockery of language and logic as NATO bombs and missiles were media tipped in humanitarian concerns. It has come with the most repelling deceptions and ruthless propaganda that turns Josef Goebbels into a rank amateur...

By eliminating historical contexts that invalidate much of the deception, by equaling sporadic Serb atrocities with premeditated 'Genocide', individuals behind the U.S./NATO "Air War" will soon face, especially at night, a merciless enemy that cannot be defeated. They will face the angry ghosts of the real Holocaust victims for perverting its moral legacy in what was once Yugoslavia."

Dr. Wiesenthal,

The truth is coming out. It will come out, one way or another, because truth has a stubborn habit of doing that, despite all our efforts to suppress it for our own purposes.

The "100,000" figure of Albanian men executed that Secretary of Defense William Cohen kept repeating over and over again has been scaled down to 10,000, and after months of searching for bodies, forensic international teams have found less than 3,OOO. And it has not yet been determined of what nationality those remains are. Mass graves have failed to materialize, the most notorious of which have been those of Srebrenica, the mantra since 1995.

Before anyone could seriously examine the "mass grave" evidence of the "Racak Massacre" that precipitated the air war, the story went around the world and was used in the most calculated way to justify the air war that had long been planned.

TV crews were right there to record yet another staged aftermath of the third infamous market place massacre in Bosnia in 1995, and within 3 hours of recording "the evidence" for all the world to see, NATO launched a 3 week bombing campaign against the Bosnian Serbs. This occured shortly after "Operation Storm" in Croatia, where a quarter million indigenous Serbs were routed from their ancestral homes and driven out, many of them massacred in the process of the four day Croatian attack. But no bombs fell on Zagreb.

An extensive in situ report exonnerated the Serbs from responsibility for the market place massacre, but an immediate demand was made to keep it secret. The demand came from then U.N. Ambassador Madeleine Albright. The thrust of this report was leaked out by Mr. Akashi of Japan, a respected U.N. official, but it did not matter. NATO bombed for the first time in its 45 year history. And the report remains secret to this day. Admiral Boorda was commander of those NATO forces that sent their bombs against the Bosnian Serbs in 1995. How does it happen that he was also a Jew?

They are still searching for mass graves in Kosovo. They still talk about Srebrenica without telling the truth of what really happened between the Serbs and the Bosnian moslems back in 1995 and who was really killed there. They still call it all "Genocide." And they still blame the Serbs.

The natural progression of accusing a group of war crimes is the creation of a War Crimes Tribunal. It has been done so in The Hague, in the fashion of Nuremberg. Unlike Nuremberg, however, this what is going on in The Hague is turning out to be little more than a Kangaroo Court. Can the world afford this insult to the legacy of Nuremberg after the way in which The Holocaust itself has been demeaned?

THE WAR CRIMES TRIBUNAL

The Tribunal for War Crimes committed in the former Yugoslavia was created by the U.N. Security Council in Resolutions 808 and 827 in 1993. Resolution 688 passed in 1991 was the set up, and it was in this Resolution that the Security Council stated that "disregard for human rights constitutes a threat to international security and can no longer be treated as an internal matter."

Madeleine Albright used her influence and her powers of persuasion to create this Tribunal. Therefore she has a vested interest in how things turn out. President of the Tribunal, Judge Gabrielle Kirk Mcdonald, credited Secretary of State Albright as "the mother of the Tribunal." A noble legacy? We shall see.

To have such a Tribunal succeed in fulfilling its promise, the premise on which it is founded has to be validated at whatever the cost. Madeleine Albright, I am sure, knew this well and she has worked diligently toward that end at the expense of an entire nation of people. And this is where the gross misuse of The Holocaust and the lies and propaganda come in.

Christopher Black is a Toronto Defense Lawyer and writer, and is one of the lawyers who made the request to the War Crimes Tribunal to indict war leaders for war crimes. He knows the game.

"As the Americans have learned so well, the best way to get your domestic population behind you as you proceed to break another country economically and militarily is to get them to hate those in power in that country. The Serb leadership was targeted and transformed into caricatures of evil. There were comparisons to Adolf Hitler, a comparison used with surprising frequency by the United States against the long list of nations it has attacked in the last 50 years."

Dr. Wiesenthal,

I want war criminals to be punished no matter who they are. Serbs who are guilty deserve to be punished. But, the question here is the guilt itself and the extent to which those who are truly guilty will ever be punished if ever at all.

Here are just some of the things that undermine the validity of The Tribunal in The Hague:

Although substantial evidence has been found of the commission of serious war crimes by the Croats and Bosnian moslims, and now Albanians in Kosovo, the majority of indictments at the Tribunal in the Hague have been directed against Serbs, and most of those caught as well as sought have been Serbs.

Tribunal officials have openly disclosed that they rely on NATO governments for investigations into the alleged crimes, and as is patently clear, NATO governments have a vested interest in investigating the Serbs and finding justification for their own actions in the Balkans.

George Soros, an American billionaire financier who has been very actively "investing" in the Balkans, has a foundation called the "Open Society Institute." This Soros foundation engages in a blatant conflict of interest that the Western Press has ignored. It funds both the Tribunal and the main KLA newspaper in Pristina. And many of the Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) that are eager to cooperate with and assist the Tribunal are linked to George Soros and his foundation one way or another.

Just these few issues make the Tribunal suspect at best, but the thing most wrong with the Tribunal, Mr. Wiesenthal, is that although this Tribunal in the Hague has jurisdiction over "War Crimes" and "Crimes Against Humanity," the worst crime against the Nuremberg principles, "Crimes against Peace," are not within the purview of the Tribunal in the Hague.

In June of this year, Chief U.N. War Crimes Tribunal prosecutor Carla Del Ponte told the Security Council that there were no grounds for opening an investigation into allegations of crimes by NATO during its 1999 bombing of Yugoslavia.

"Although," she stated, "some mistakes were made by NATO, I am very satisfied that there was no deliberate targeting of civilians or unlawful military targets by NATO during the bombing campaign."

How is it possible, Dr. Wiesenthal, that someone who can so blatantly deny the truth be in the position to enforce justice?

We know now that NATO killed more civilians, upwards of 5,000 that we know of for sure, than the Serbs killed in the many months of the war on the ground with the Albanian separatists. We know, and Amnesty International released a report only a week after Del Ponte's pronouncement confirming this, that civilian entities were targeted and destroyed. By accident? Given the nature of the way in which the war against the Serbs has been conducted, nothing could ever convince me that it was "by accident" or "coincidence."

Dr. Wiesenthal,

NATO is guilty. And just as guilty and deserving of indictment is the cabal that has legitimized the crimes committed in the name of "humanitarianism" and "justice for the victims in the Balkans." That cabal consists of the individuals I have named in this letter. They are not the only ones guilty by any means, but it is their guilt that causes me the most pain. These Jews should have been the last people on this earth to have turned against the Serbs in this way. They are also the last people who have the right to judge the Serbs after committing a political genocide against the Serbian people and nation for which they must be held accountable:

MADELEINE ALBRIGHT Secretary of State/Former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations

When the Austrians wanted to go to war against Serbia in 1914 at any cost, they needed a "legal" vehicle as a basis on which to declare war. They wrote the text of their "Ultimatum" following the Sarajevo assassination in such a way as to make it impossible for Serbia, a sovereign nation, to fully accept it. When Madeleine Albright was set on bombing Serbia this time around, she needed a "legal" vehicle as well. She knew her history. She designed the text of the "Rambouillet Accord" in such a way as to ensure that Serbia could never sign it in its present form. It is yet to be seen if the "Rambouillet Accord" precipitates the dissolution of NATO as the Austrian 'Ultimatum to Serbia' precipitated the dissolution of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, but one thing is sure: Both "ultimatums" reflected the banal mentality of a supposedly civilized people.

Madeleine Albright has been among the most vicious and determined of the policy makers with regards to determining foreign policy towards the Serbs. She was determined to bomb the Serbs, no matter what. As the truth comes out and her policies are reviewed and examined for the historical record, Albright's legacy will clear for all to see, and it will be a legacy of shame. Madeleine Albright is a Jew.

RICHARD HOLBROOKE United States Ambassador to the United Nations

Holbrooke has been considered the primary diplomatic force in the campaign to come to a "peaceful" resolution in the Balkans. Given his consistent pronouncements indicting the Serbs for criminal acts behavior, he has consistently taken sides in the conflicts, and therefore has severely comprised his status as a legitimate peace broker in the Balkans. His mantra has been "Srebrenica" which has been used over and over again to slander the Serbs. Holbrooke continues to make the same claims against the Serbs despite growing evidence proving him wrong, and he is re-opening the issue of Srebrenica to cover up for the nightmare that has been created by the Clinton administration in "post war Kosovo." Richard Holbrooke is a Jew.

LAWRENCE EAGLEBERGER Former Secretary of State

Constantly brought up the issue of "Serbian communists" which is ironic considering the fact that when he was U.S. Ambassador to Yugoslavia, he was an apologist for the Tito Regime and did business with Belgrade privately. To my knowledge, Mr. Eagleberger is of Jewish descent.

I find this issue of Jews attacking Serbs as "communists" ironic, because it was the Jews who introduced Communism to Europe and the world. The early Bolshevik leadership was comprised of one Hungarian, two Poles, three Finns, nine Germans, nine Armenians, 19 Russians, 27 Lithuanians, and 294 Jews. When the First Soviet met (the Bolshevik government) there were 320 delegates present, 279 of which were Jews. No Serbs were in this group. The British and other Western democracies supported the Nazis and other fascists in the beginning because they viewed them as "the bulwark against Jewish Bolshevik expansion into Europe" between the two world wars. History has documented how many millions of human beings were murdered by the communists since the inception of Communism and its spread around the world. Are Jews to be held accountable for this as they are now holding the Serbs accountable?

SANDY BERGER National Security Advisor

Mr. Berger has repeatedly blamed the Belgrade regime and the Serbs for the terrible "tragedy" and problems that have befallen the Serbs over the last ten years. He continues to make public reference to what the Serbian government has done to its people, without ever, to my knowledge, addressing what the NATO countries, including his own, have done to the Serbian people and their nation. Has been a key player in determining U.S. Foreign Policy against Serbia. Mr. Berger is a Jew.

WILLIAM COHEN Secretary of Defense

Has been a key player, in one of the highest positions of power in the U.S. Government, who has determined U.S. Foreign Policy towards the Serbs. Has repeated the lies that have been used to justify the punitive measures directed against the Serbs. Mr. Cohen is of Jewish descent.

BERNARD KOUCHNER United Nations Administrator in Kosovo

A doctor who was chosen from his native France to head the postwar team in Kosovo to keep the peace. It is he who seems to have publicly designated post war atrocities and crimes committed by Albanians against Serbian civilians as a sort of "justifiable revenge." Mr. Kouchner is a Jew.

JAMES RUBIN State Department Spokesman

Day after day of the 78-Day bombing war against the Serbs, we would see Jamie Rubin on television "explaining" to the American people who the Serbs were and why they had to be punished. He was, throughout the war, before and after the bombing, the primary official United States government "Spinmaster." For his efforts and mastery at the new modern art of "spinning," Mr. Rubin was, on April 27th of this year, awarded the Distinguished Service Award by Secretary of State Madeleine Albright.

The citation read:

"With matchless eloquence and precision, day after day, at home and on the road, you explained to our nation and the world the who's, what's, when's, how's and why's of American foreign policy. In doing so, you performed an indispensable service to our country and helped to advance U.S. foreign policy objectives around the world. Your leadership, wise counsel, extraordinary commitment and determination as Assistant Secretary of State for Public Affairs and Department Spokesman have made you an irreplaceable member of American's foreign policy team."

In response, Rubin said, "I want to thank Secretary Albright for the opportunity she gave me, the lessons she taught me to be both an idealist and a realist, the leadership she shows every day, the inspiration she's provided, not only to me but to people all over the world."

James Rubin is also a Jew.

GEORGE SOROS Billionaire Financier

He has been involved both in financial dealings in the Kosovo area and previously in Bosnia and is actively funding the War Crimes Tribunal in The Hague. He certainly has the means to set up whatever is necessary for the exploitation of the natural resources that are yet to be tapped in Kosovo and as a consequence, to make enormous profits. Will the joke end up being on the Americans if, despite the contribution they are making to the 6 billion dollar a year effort designated to bring "peace" and "order" to the region, only a few people like Soros ultimately benefit in any real terms?

George Soros is also a Jew.

 

ADMIRAL JEREMY BOORDA Chief of Naval Operations

At one time the United States Navy's highest ranking officer. While at NATO he directed the airstrike against the Bosnian Serbs in 1995 that would be the first time that the forces of the Western alliance would be used in an offensive mission in the entire history of the organization. Admiral Boorda, since deceased, was a Jew.

GENERAL WESLEY K. CLARK Supreme Allied Commander of NATO Forces in Europe

He was the head of the entire military operation that was launched against the Serbs on March 24, 1999. The bombing campaign would last 78 days, and General Clark was merciless both in his command and in his stance. His attitude was to "take no prisoners" when it came to the Serbs. To my knowledge, General Wesley Clark is also of Jewish descent.

JOSEPH LIEBERMAN United States Senator Candidate for the Vice Presidency of the United States

Powerful congressman who now has the potential of reaching the second highest office in the land. Has lobbied extensively against violence in the media, all the while supporting the notorious KLA both publicly and politically, going so far as to co-sponsor a bill that would arm the already armed to the teeth Albanian terrorists.

Has been one of the most vocal and determined advocates of the bombing of the Serbs.

Senator Joseph Lieberman is a Jew.

Dr. Wiesenthal,

I may end up wondering forever what it really could have been that drove these prominent Jews to engage in their campaign of vilification and punishment of the Serbs. Why would they have so eagerly participated in a genocidal attack such as the NATO bombing on a relatively peaceful group of people that have never done them or their nation harm? Serbs have never once, despite what has been done to them, advocated the same punitive measures against the Israelis for their actions in the Middle East. Never once.

I hope to God it wasn't just "Business." It may be established much later whether or not the genocidal attack on Serbia had a direct connection to "world power interests" and those of men who have taken a great personal interest in the area such as billionaire financier George Soros, a Hungarian Jew who is very involved in matters in the Balkans outside of his own country. It has been established that the area of Kosovo is rich in coal, lead, zinc, gold, silver, cobalt, nickel, chromium, polymetallic ores and various mineral deposits. And most important of all, below the think lignite layer in the area are huge deposits of oil.

Like I said, I hope to God that all the carnage and devastation was not just for the sake of Business.

What, Dr. Wiesenthal, could drive an educated Jew to reportedly suggest that the skulls of a people should be crushed, when those people have been the victim of a big lie?

When NATO began bombing in March of 1999 they used cluster bombs which civilized people are no longer supposed to use in warfare. They used depleted uranium in weapons which civilized people aren't supposed to use any more. To add insult to injury, the NATO leadership and their spokespeople lied so profusely and regularly about their "achievements," and "successes," since proven to be fabricated and exaggerated as well, that the lies superceded those engineered by Hitler and Goebbels during the Second World War.

What has been done to the Serbs over the last ten years is criminal. I have only touched here on the crimes.

 

Dr. Wiesenthal,

My father was born in Croatia and went to school there. In the high shool that he attended, most of the students were Catholic Croatians and future Ustasha terrorists. There were only a few Jews and Orthodox Serbs, and they stuck together, strengthening their friendship in what would become a hostile, dangerous environment for them both. It was not hard to stick together. Jews and Serbs had been doing that in that part of the world since the Spanish Inquisition had forced Jews to leave their homes and find refuge elsewhere.

During the great tragedy of war that struck Yugoslavia in 1941, Serbs and Jews continued to stick together, fighting the same enemy. Their friendship only grew stronger.

But something happened, Dr. Wiesenthal. The friendship has been betrayed by Jews in power who have no respect for the relationship that was forged between Serbs and Jews. If I were a Jew I would never dismiss the possibility that the time may come when all Jews may wish that the Serbs were still there for them, unchanged and friendly as they had always been in the past. Maybe the group of powerful Jews I am confronting here couldn't care less about that, but the rest of the Jewish people I believe do, and should. After all, did American Jews, who were in the position to do so, really do all that they could have during World War II to save their brothers and sisters in Europe?

Jews, like the Serbs, cannot afford to lose friends in this world, and it will be tragic indeed if the friendship between the two peoples has been permanently damaged as a result of the political genocide that has been perpetrated.

I know that I am only talking about a handful of people here. A handful of Jews in power. I am well aware of the efforts of the Jewish "civilians" who have fought long and hard on behalf of the truth and have bravely stood up for justice for the Serbs, regardless of the cost. I will never forget the support that the Jews I have met over the course of these last ten years have provided and how courageously they have fought on behalf of the Serbs. Knowing them, and treasuring their friendship, I wish that I never had to write this letter.

Dr. Wiesenthal,

Please know that I came to you with an honest heart. I have been warned that my views might be taken as anti-Semitic and therefore my concerns would be dismissed outright. I can only hope that you can see beyond the surface and that you recognize where I am coming from in this letter. I do not want to feel the way that I do. I do not want to harbor a grudge. I do not want to feel betrayed, but I am not the only one who feels betrayed. There are so many of us out there that feel this way, and I don't know if anything will ever be able to fix that after everything that has happened over the course of these last ten years.

It is being said now that the United States "led" the wars against the Serbs over the course of the last ten years. I don't know. When one looks closely at the issues I have shared with you, it looks more and more like the United States was led into the wars by being misled by a group of Jews in power who were determined to destroy the Serbs.

So, Dr. Wiesenthal, if you can, please help me understand why those who should have stood by them ended up turning on the Serbs when the Serbian people needed them the most.
