In English:
A writer, publicist and poet at times, Piotr Bein (born 1946 in Poland) lives in Vancouver, Canada.
After the bombing of Yugoslavia in 1999 he started a virtual Polish book about NATO intervention in the Balkans, which continues here in NATO klamalo department. In the summer of 2000 he went with son Magnus on bicycles from Poland to Serbia. A travelogue from the trip, To Serbia via Poland below, weaves politics and history into impressions about NATOs role in the affairs of Poles and Serbs. In May 2001 Piotr bicycled south from Poland again, this time through Serbia, Republika Srpska, Bosnia, Croatia, Hungary, Slovakia and Czech Republic. Future Part III of the book might tell about that trip. Orgs are welcome to print my book for fundraising for YU and Serb causes. Piotr welcomes any thoughts or comments. His e-mail address is piotr.bein@imag.net
Some reviews of the book:

Rick Rozoff, editor www.stopnato.org.uk...interest, delight and sadness. Delight for the places, names, and the immemorial culture they evoke. ...We are indeed proceeding toward a new age of barbarity.
Gilles dAymery, webmaster www.swans.com...interesting and moving. ...the "snap shots" of the people you met. ...I feel like I've been there myself!
Lee Loe, IGC Internet www.igc.orgI'm "biased" but nevertheless I enjoyed the book and still think it is really nicely done.
Slobodan Mitrovi?, Serbian Unity Congress, Vancouver, Canadareally a great work about truth and lie It means so much to me and is in a way a repay for all horrors I have lived through.

TO SERBIA VIA POLAND............A Travelogue by Piotr Bein
In July 2000 my son Magnus and I packed our bikes and flew to Europe to visit the country of his parents' birth. For me, it was another trip in a long string of visits since crossing the Polish border became easy after communism at the end of 1980s. But this time Poland was to be a place en-route to the Balkans, whose misfortunes I have been following since NATO started "humanitarian" bombing. ... DOWNLOAD (370kb)
